Said photo that I gave Grandma Rose at the dinner according to the year my mom wrote on the back of the photo.

Oddly, my own culinary life is mimicking Grandma’s this week as I am making chicken & noodles today and just did beef vegetable soup yesterday, of which, I also froze some!  I’m anxiously awaiting the mention of some bean soup from her in this diary because as far as I know, hers was the first I ever had and I loved it.  I remember helping her tiny dice some carrots and celery for it while there was coffee percolating in a silver pot with the bubble thing on top where you could watch the coffee popping up into it every so often.  Anyway, that’s a story for a different time if bean soup ever makes an appearance.  This week has a big dinner in it and I can’t wonder about the occasion – surely not St. Patrick’s Day?  It wasn’t anyone’s birthday that I’m aware of, so was it just random?  Turkey makes for a weird St. Patty’s dish.  In any event, I was thrilled to see I was there with my parents and had mentioned a photo that I gave her.

NOTE:  As always, I left her spelling, capitalization, and punctuation as much as possible.
